Famed for its 52 miles of white sand shoreline, emerald waters, and the Gulf Islands National Seashore, Pensacola also ranks as America's first settlement, leaving it brimming with historic intrigue. Pensacola anchors the western end of Florida's Panhandle and boasts culture, outdoor adventure, fine museums and attractions.

Tiki Island, the family fun center of Pensacola Beach, features 18-holes of fantasy golf, an arcade, single and multi-seater bikes, and more. It's possible to feed the ducks at Bayview Park on Bayou Texar and to watch osprey return to nests with a fresh caught fish at Big Lagoon State Park. Public boat ramps allow for fun on the water, and shopping is terrific at downtown Pensacola specialty boutiques. Pensacola accommodations range from bed and breakfasts, cottages, motels and hotels to vacation condos.

Pensacola is not far from Alabama and Georgia, and the city of New Orleans is within a reasonable driving distance to the west along I-10.
